A list of past events at the German School
At the weekend, we enjoyed our annual trip to the Heidelmann Lodge near Lake Tahoe for the snow weekend. Some skied, some sledded, some snowshoed and others just kicked backed and enjoyed the view, the food and the company. See the pictures below.
On Saturday December 18th we celebrated Advent in Rist Hall at Mercy High School. Each class performed skits and holiday songs, we shared a pot luck of traditional and not so traditional german foods and of course St Nikolaus arrived and distributed presents!
On Saturday December 18th we will be having our annual Adventsfeier in the Rist hall at Mercy High School. On Sunday November 7th parents, children and teachers of the German School of San Francisco attended the traditional Laternenfest in celebration of St Martin’s Day. Despite the inclement weather, the traditional Laternenfest songs were sung and the school strolled through the neighborhood around the West Portal Playground.
Saturday, May 22nd was our annual graduation party including performances by all the graduating classes and a pot luck lunch. For more picture follow the link.
The Goethe-Institut San Francisco is presenting a children’s matinée of the new German movie “Vorstadtkrokodile” by Christian Ditter. The first school semester of 2010 was celebrated with our Faschingfest at St Matthews Lutheran church in San Francisco. As you can see from the pictures, a good time was had by all.
